As the Christmas lights get taken down and the last of glitter from New Year’s Eve finally gets vacuumed, it’s suddenly February and another holiday is looming: Valentine’s Day. Well, here at STUDIO Dan Meiners, we are here to give Kansas City a stress-free Valentine’s Day! No matter if you send a floral arrangement to family, friends, or significant others, we have arrangements for everyone, since doesn’t everyone deserve a little love on February 14th?

Valentine’s Day is rooted in showing someone that you are thinking of them. But it might be tricky to decide what flower will perfectly show your special someone what you are feeling. Lucky for you, we have broken down the meaning behind some of our favorite flowers used in our designs!
We love using different color roses in many of our Valentine’s Day arrangements and every color means saying “I love you” a different way. Red roses are the Valentine’s classic and the most traditional way to say “I love you.” Pink roses show admiration, joy, and happiness, while orange roses can symbolize desire and excitement.

Tulips are believed to be some of the most versatile flowers and are perfect for Valentine’s Day! If you are sending tulips, they can evoke friendship, comfort, and/or love. Send these to anyone in your life because tulips say, “you are special to me!”

Birds of Paradise, a slightly more non-traditional Valentine’s flower compared to roses or tulips. Birds of Paradise are exotic, colorful, and exciting! These beautiful flowers represent joy, optimism, and faithfulness.

The use of a pink protea in our arrangements signifies femininity and compassion. While protea might not be a traditional flower, their meaning is perfect for Valentine’s Day! This flower is one of our favorite because it comes in so many different shapes and sizes. Protea really make any arrangement unique and bring a whole new level to your Valentine’s Day arrangement!

Kansas City, we can’t wait to help make a Valentine’s Day impact on your special someone! But please remember, no matter the flower, we believe that there is no wrong way to tell someone you are thinking of them!
